“With an increase in the sales volume, we needed someone to help us, namely in the warehouse, that could take up some simple tasks that were consuming too much management time. I was tired of having people come and go with no stability, so I went to the local disability organisation, to ask if there was somebody that could fit our needs, and that’s when they suggested Ricardo.”

“In the company, Ricardo assists us in the general commercial activity: customer service, packaging of products, management of stocks and orders, cleaning and maintenance of the front store spaces and warehouse. 

In the beginning, he had some difficulties in getting to know all the products – particularly in getting to know and being able to distinguish all the names and types of products – but we always supported and helped him, and albeit him needing some supervision, I often forget that Ricardo has some limitations, because difficulties have always been overcome with ease.”

“The local service provider asked us to temporarily integrate another trainee, Hugo, at a time we thought we didn’t need anyone else. We accepted because the initial internship is cost-free for the company. Hugo’s contribution to the company proved to be a valuable asset, so we decided to keep him, and upgraded his internship agreement to a permanent working contract this year.”

“In our team, each one has their role, and each one is essential for the smooth running of the company. Ricardo helps more with physical tasks – transporting goods, and Hugo takes care of product maintenance and interacting with customers, allowing me to have more time for management and bureaucracy. We have a great work atmosphere, and keep a familiar environment: they help me, and I help them. We have a relationship of complementarity and cooperation, and companionship – we always attend business events together, as a team.”
